FAQs

  • Mats and props are supplied and are of the highest quality and hygiene standard. However, if you prefer to use your own mat please feel free to bring it along.

  • Wear anything you feel comfortable in that allows you to move freely and won’t get in the way during poses—especially inverted ones (no one wants a top that rides up over their head mid-downward dog!). There’s no need to splurge on designer yoga gear; any comfortable clothing you already have is perfect. Think stretchy leggings, shorts, or joggers paired with a fitted or slightly loose top. The most important thing is that you feel at ease and ready to move.

  • It’s best to avoid a big meal right before yoga, as it can make certain poses uncomfortable. If you need a little energy boost, stick to something light, like a piece of fruit, a handful of nuts, or a small smoothie, about an hour before class. Listen to your body and find what works best for you, but aim to feel light and energised rather than full and sluggish.

  • IMy studio is a shoe-free zone, and I encourage practicing barefoot. Being barefoot helps you connect with the ground, improves balance, and allows for a more stable practice. That said, I understand some students prefer to wear socks, which is absolutely fine—just make sure they have non-slip grips for safety. Barefoot is ideal, but ultimately, it’s about what makes you feel most comfortable.
